Reproductive abuse is; "the behaviour used to pressure or coerce a woman into becoming pregnant or into continuing or ending a pregnancy against her will in an effort to maintain power, control, and domination over a woman."

This can be done through the use of;

  • Manipulation,
  • Intimidation,
  • Threats,
  • Actual acts of violence,
  • Birth control sabotage

Reports show that reproductive abuse causes an increased risk of sexually transmitted infections and unintended or unwanted pregnancies.
