What is it?

The following programme works with children, aged 8-13, who need help managing emotions and dealing with conflict

Why is it needed?

Children who are most in need of this intervention may be displaying aggressive or violent behaviour toward peers, family members, or teachers. They may have frequent emotional outbursts and may struggle to build or maintain positive social relationships.

Aim of Acorns

  • Increase positive management of negative emotions
  • Improve positive core identity and self-esteem
  • Provide strategies to improve communication and decision-making
  • Develop core relationship skills

At different venues across Cheshire East

How long is it?

1-2 hours per week for 16 weeks

Who would refer?

Anyone working with survivors of domestic abuse. We also accept self referrals for this course
